The Towner Line consists of 122 miles of track extending from N.A. Junction, CO to Towner, CO. The line interchanges with Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway at the N.A. Junction, Co and with the Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad (KO) at Towner, CO. Traffic consists primarily of wheat and barley shipped from our two customers: the Bartlett Grain Company and the Tempel Grain Company.
The Towner Line was originally owned and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad until the merger of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad in the fall of 1996. The V&S Railway acquired ownership of the line in 2005.
